The Road to Bresson
1984 <<De weg naar Bresson>> Directed by Leo de Boer, Jurriën Rood
A Dutch documentary about singular French filmmaker Robert Bresson. Added some extra video's below to dig deeper into Bresson's view on film. He famously drew a distinction between "cinema" (which he viewed as filmed theater) and "cinematography" (the unique language of moving images and sound). He believed moving images should dictate the story rather than merely illustrate text.
